This is the award given to the top male huacaya of the entire show, regardless of age or color, and rarely goes to a non-white alpaca, let alone a black. Dr.Sumar called Black Ice "a perfect black alpaca". Ice is packed with excellent black and gray genes from both sides of his pedigree. His dam is NeverSummer's Monsoon, an award-winning, silver gray, Silver Charm daughter. Silver Charm consistently passed on his wonderful hand, striking presence and mellow temperament to his offspring and has maintained his fleece quality for many years.
