Franchesca will steal your gaze and your heart! This lovely light silver grey female is exactly what grey breeders seek out. Franchesca is impressive with a stunning super-model frame, gorgeous head, and shining fleece sporting an aluminum color. The name Silver Thread’s Franchesca suits her perfectly. We wanted to consign our best and a grey female by our champion producer Sakima was perfect.
Franchesca comes by her beauty easily as her sire and dam are both amazing producers with fantastic lineage. Her sire, Patagonia Estates Sakima is a gorgeous jet-black male who passes on his fine, bright, and amazingly dense bundling fleece with a superb luxurious handle. He has great substance of bone and magnificent head and leg coverage. Genetics for Sakima include Snowmass Andean Midnight and Patagonia's Lennox, a magical combination for success! Sakima is a six-time champion, consistently produces champion offspring, and is a cornerstone of the breeding program at Alpaca Country Estates.
Franchesca’s dam, Estate Leonie has produced us two stunning grey females and has cemented herself as part of our foundation herd. Leonie is a beautiful fine-fleeced female who passes on her suburb density and uniform fiber. Her sire is Estates Grey Beard, a stunning classic grey male. She carries the sought-after genetics of Aussie .38 special and more. Franchesca is destined to be a fantastic production female just like her dam.
Franchesca is tall and well-grown for her age. She maintains straight legs, proper bite, a correct topline, and appropriate proportions. She has a beautiful wedge-shaped head with good coverage from top to toenails. Her demeanor is very sweet. Her fleece is the most beautiful light metallic silver. She has very few minimal black spots near her extremities. The fleece shows great organization and consistent high frequency crimp through her blanket area that extends far into her hip and shoulder areas. The individual fibers are very fine with a very similar micron between the black and white secondary fibers. Her regrowth is showing good staple length and superior brightness. Most notably, Franchesca has an extremely soft handling fleece reminiscent of silk.
Franchesca is a rare opportunity to purchase a grey Sakima daughter. His genetics are limited as he is closed to outside breedings. Finish up her show career and bring her back to us for her maiden breeding.
