Just like her name’s sake, Artistic Taylor Swift has a special flair about her and catches your eye. This is a fantastic genetic package for the discerning black or grey breeder.
Taylor Swift (TS) is one of the few offspring of Red Granite’s Lapu we have offered for sale. Lapu is a 5x banner winner (2 Reserve Champion at AOA Nationals,) son of champions, and 5th generation champion. His well-known sire, the late Kirwin is a 13x banner winner (AOBA National 2x RC,) with grey offspring! His dam, Irish Meadows’ My Lacy is a 4x champion, including an AOA National championship like her sire. His yearling fiber stats: 17.7 AFD, 3.5 SD, CV 19.5, %>30 0.5, spin fineness 17, mean curv, 32. Lapu’s pedigree certainly brings prepotent and superior genetics to TS. However, her dam line is highly admired on the farm. Their fleece is like a dream, continually the top softest fleeces on the farm. Down from her grand dam, Estates Velvet Venecian, the fleece in this line retains its incredible fineness and uniformity into mature and elderly age. They also have gorgeous full heads and great conformation. TS’s dam, Estates Venetian is sired by Snowmass Andean Midnight who also carried extreme fineness and uniformity. This line also carries the genetics of Chief Grey Feather and Royal Bronze.
Taylor Swift catches your eye with her square frame and beautiful jet-black fleece. She has thick, straight legs with coverage all the way to her toes. She has a true-to-type and feminine look. Her bite and all conformation traits are correct. Her head is wedge shaped with a short muzzle and full coverage. TS has a fine and long stapling fleece with good density and crimp style. She carries a uniform crimp style across her blanket with minor variation and few primary fibers.
For her maiden breeding we chose one of our newest grey males. Crescent Moon’s Peachee Keen, a Kolbe son! We are extremely excited about this match as Peachee is an 8x banner winner, is gorgeous, and has great EPDs! We cannot wait to see what this pairing produces!
