ESTATES TROY'S TROPICANA
Where was Troy’s Tropicana while we picked our show string? Turn our mistake into your luck with this fantastic yearling female with a color-packed pedigree! We really love Tropicana's beautiful phenotype. She is a well-grown female with a deep chest, straight legs & correct topline. She has a beautiful wedge-shaped head with a correct bite/jaw set. Her face is covered in fleece with coverage that extends down her legs like her sire, Troy. Again, just like her sire, Tropicana is packing on loads of very fine, extremely soft, and dense fleece. As her fleece opens, a consistent and organized, high frequency crimp style can be seen. Within her fleece there are micro-staples starting to form. These characteristics are linked with density, uniformity and fineness. She also has a very uniform micron within her secondary fibers. Her fleece is uniform in color across the blanket. The color is reminiscent of a caramel. Even though she is fawn, she descends from loads of color including both black parents.
Tropicana's sire is Amber Autumn Troy, a 4x True Black Champion herdsire, including 2019 AOA Nationals & 2019 Futurity. Her paternal grandsire is none other than 12x Champ Snowmass Mr Sizlin Rose who is the 2016 Herdsire of the Year & 2017 Reserve Herdsire of the Year. Tropicana's dam, La Finca’s Tropicana, is sired by 8x Champion True Black male, MFI & LMFI Peruvian Baird, whose rock-solid black genetics come from the industry’s best black males.
Tropicana will make someone a fantastic foundation female. We unfortunately over-looked her for our spring show string in 2023 but she is definitely show worthy. After showing her, return her to Alpaca Country Estates for her maiden breeding. We recommend one of two champion-producers, Snowmass Pure Passion or for a chance at a black cria, Patagonia Estates Sakima. You can choose any unrelated, solely-owned herdsire at Alpaca Country Estates.
