Satin Cloud XXX is a beautiful black male. We are proud to have produced him from our own program. We are excited to use him in our herdsire lineup, especially over black and grey.
Satin Cloud XXX reflects the quality passed from his sire, 8x champion, Estates Satin Cloud. Like his sire, Satin Cloud XXX carries himself proudly, displaying correct conformation and a pleasing phenotype. As his fleece opens up, a beautiful crimp style catches your eye. It is a soft and uniform fleece. This shows he carries the lasting fineness also present in his maternal lineage. Satin Cloud XXX’s pedigree was the best combination to align these fleece and conformation traits.
Satin Cloud XXX’s sire, Estates Satin Cloud, is a true black herdsire out of Snowmass Satin Reserve XX and Premier's Adriana. Estates Satin Cloud is a well-structured, proud male with a very handsome head. He is fine with beautiful curvature, consistent, dense, and bright fleece. Satin Cloud's progeny won the Black Male Color Championship, Black Female Color Championship, and Black Male Reserve Color Championship banners at the 2019 Carolina Alpaca Showcase! In the US, 85% of his offspring were black. Satin Cloud now resides in Sweden, making his genetics much more valuable. Luckily, we have Estate’s Satin Cloud XXX to carry on his genetics.
Satin Cloud XXX’s maternal line has both black and grey bloodlines and is known for lasting fineness. His dam, Jolee is a beautiful foundation female from the Patagonia herd. She consistently produces beautiful dark offspring. She is the spitting image of her sire, Patagonia's The Sable. She carries the stocky frame, great bone and outstanding leg coverage that continues to be passed down to each new generation. Satin Cloud XXX has the same look. His grandsire, The Sable is a black Neruda grandson (out of multi-champion parents - Patagonia’s El Vasco and Patagonia’s Adriana). The Sable possesses the prototype head that is common of Neruda descendants. His sire, Patagonia’s El Vasco is one of the finest and most dense true black males! (At age 10, El Vasco was maintaining a 23.6 AFD.)
We are excited to announce that Satin Cloud XXX won first place and Reserve Champion at his first show, the 2022 California Classic!
We have no doubt Satin Cloud XXX will continue to carry on the traits of his sire and dam’s lineage, to produce a new generation of champions.
