Passion represents 30 years of passion in breeding for the perfect-colored fleece on the most beautiful-bodied alpaca. Snowmass Alpacas said, “Snowmass Pure Passion is the most magnificent Light Fawn Matrix son Snowmass Alpacas has ever produced.” Fever's maternal grandsire is Patagonia’s El Galan, our magnificent 4x champion & multiple blue-ribbon winning herdsire out of Patagonia’s Cayo. His maternal great grandsire R&R Oliver Twist has consistently produced outstanding offspring in Canada and the U.S., that exhibit fine, uniform micron in their fleeces, along with crimp & correct, solid conformation. In 2019, Passionate Fever was evaluated as an A+ by senior AOA Judge Amanda VandenBosch. "He has excellent substance of bone, balance to frame, fiber coverage, good organization within staple, maintains consistency across fleece, moves to the extremities to neck, good density relative to fineness." Jill Marcellus said, "He’s a very refined looking male, He’s moderately sized, right in the middle there, & that can be very useful in a breeding program. He’s got good balance & proportion, excellent substance of bone, & a very typey male with a good strong phenotype. I really like his head style as well. His fleece is very fine & exceptionally uniform in all the fleece traits. I pulled samples from all over the place on him & really there is virtually no difference from mid-side to right into the front shoulder area to over to the hip. That also carried through with the staple type and also the expression of character through the fleece. It’s very uniform right across his body and underneath his belly." Passionate Fever was a superstar in the show ring and his offspring are too! We are thrilled to announce that Fever's 2022 daughter (Estates Fever's Fancy Flower) brought home the coveted Judge's Choice award as well as TWO Color Championship banners and Blue Ribbons (Both Halter and Walking Fleece) from the 2023 Houston halter show! Patagonia Estates Sakima is a gorgeous jet-black male with fine, bright, and amazingly dense fleece. When you touch this fleece, your heart will melt! His fabulous dense bundling goes from head to tail, and from back to underbelly, and into his legs. He has a very soft handle, good substance of bone, excellent conformation, lock and character are extremely nice, and magnificent head and leg coverage. Genetics for Sakima include Snowmass Andean Midnight and Patagonia's Lennox, a magical combination for success! Sakima’s sire, Patagonia's Chilkoot (Lennox son), was assessed by Amanda VandenBosch as an "A-" having "excellent fiber coverage with great phenotype." His dam, Estates Sentimental Journey, is a dynamite solid black foundation dam out of the Snowmass line and Peruvian line.
