Anne is the daughter of Patagonia Estates Sakima, a gorgeous 6x Champion jet-black male. Sakima’s dense independent bundles go from head to tail, into his belly and legs. He has a very soft handle, good substance of bone, excellent conformation, fantastic brightness, and his crimp and character are extremely nice. He also passes down his magnificent head and leg coverage. Genetics for Sakima include Snowmass Andean Midnight and Patagonia's Lennox. Not only is Sakima a black 6 x Champion, but his progeny are champions in the show ring as well! His progeny have won multiple accolades in the United States and internationally. Over 80% of his offspring are black or grey. Sakima’s daughter, also in the auction, Miss Oregon Vicki, took the Walking Fleece Championship at the 2024 Buckeye Fall Fest and Black Color Champion at the 2024 A-OK Rose Rock show.
Anne’s dam is Estates Lilikoi, a blue-ribbon winning female with multiple true black offspring. Her maternal grandsire is Patagonia's Ernesto, our magnificent Judge's Choice, 7x Champion & 5x Get of Sire award winning light brown herdsire. He is well known for his ability to stamp his positive traits onto each of his offspring. Ernesto is out of the legendary Patagonia’s Lennox, who has countless ribbons, and is a 14x Get of Sire winner, including 3 Get of Sire blue ribbons!
While Lilikoi has her dam’s color, she has her sire’s square frame and improved bone and coverage. Once you look at her fleece, Sakima’s impact is apparent. Her fleece is extremely fine and uniform, organized into small bundles. It is exceptionally soft yet shows great density. Across her fleece she displays a consistent high frequency crimp. Her few primary fibers are remarkably close in micron to her secondary fibers and crimped, making them difficult to detect. A very beautiful fleece. She has Four traits ranking in the top 20% EPDs.
