At the Western Alpaca Challenge, Estates Purely Appraising took First Place out of six alpacas under judge Sharon Loner whose comment was "Everything was in the whole package: fleece style, character tightness, conformation with substance of bone." Purely Appraising went on to win the 2017 WAC Color Championship out of a class of 12.
