At the Western Alpaca Challenge, Estates Purely Appraising took First Place out of six alpacas under judge Sharon Loner whose comment was "Everything was in the whole package: fleece style, character tightness, conformation with substance of bone." Purely Appraising went on to win the 2017 WAC Color Championship out of a class of 12. Purely Appraising also brought home Blue Ribbons from the 2017 GWAS and 2017 CABA Classic shows in addition to multiple other ribbons over his show career.
