ESTATES GENERAL SHERMAN
General Sherman is a handsome white male with smooth, soft handling fleece that is very, very fine. He has nicely styled fleece with very crimpy character to it and that holds very nicely within the uniform and substance of body. He also has very nice substance of bone, a good solid frame, and Top 10% EPDs!
Sherman is the son of 5x champion, Amber Autumn Sherman, and his paternal grandsire is Accoyo America Polaris, a judge's choice champion who has received many ribbons for get-of-sire.
Sherman's dam is our Judge's Choice & 5x Champion winner, Estates Wedding Tapistry, a gorgeous female whose fine luscious fiber is consistent and very, very dense. Sherman's maternal grandsire is Patagonia’s El Galan, our magnificent 4x champion and multiple blue ribbon winning herdsire out of Patagonia’s Cayo. El Galan has an elegant, soft handle, buttery fleece, and is a strong-boned pure white male. His maternal granddam is 4x champion and Nishio daughter, Patagonia's White Rose. (White Rose's dam, Tyna also produced the legendary Patagonia’s Lennox, our legendary 9x Champion and 14x Get of Sire winner!)
General Sherman was awarded a blue ribbon at his first show, the 2020 Carolina Alpaca Celebration! Judge Jill Marcellus' comments were: "This was really quite a competitive class, as I went through each of them, and that’s very nice to see. … He’s got very nice substance of bone and showing a good solid frame work for his young age. So conformationally he’s really a nicely put together young male and shows every indication to me of developing very nicely. When I look through his fleece, he has a highly uniform fleece in all traits and that’s what really kept him higher up on the placement. He’s got very, very fine fleece. When I pulled samples from all … He shows amazing fineness and uniformity of micron goes all the way under his belly. He’s got smooth soft handling fleece all across the front chest. And again, when I compared the him to (the second-place winner), the two boys closely together, he just carrying that uniformity, of softness of hand and micron and very clean … throughout his whole fleece.
