Estates Passionate Faith (2017 Light Female Reserve Color Champion, at the Western Alpaca Challenge), is DENSE, very soft, well-built, and has a pretty head. Her dam is Patagonia's Frida, a Patagonia's Lennox daughter who was assessed as an A- by Amanda VandenBosch. Faith's sire, Snowmass Pure Passion was a 2x Get of Sire winner in the fall of 2017 at the double shows, Western Alpaca Challenge and Alpaca Breeder's Invitational, and his offspring have the most amazing fineness that he passes on.
Breeding is sometimes a Crapshoot! For Passionate Faith's maiden breeding, we threw the dice and got 7 come 11, the Black Jack dealer dealt is four aces for a winning hand, and the $1 slot machine went screaming as silver dollars filled our bucket holding Patagonia's El Galan, sire of the 2017 ABI Judge's Choice winner! It is nice to finally select the right breedings for this magnificent male to see his full potential as a sire of champions. El Galan has a nice stature, very crimpy fleece that is remaining soft, bright, and silky. This sire is definitely passing on these wonderful characteristics to his progeny with bundling, beautiful structure, uniformity of micron count and color in their fleece, adding dense, dense fleece and staple length. During the 2017 show season, his stunning juvenile crias have received Judge's Choice, Color Champion, Reserve Champion, and Blue and Red ribbons.
