Some alpacas are born with a presence that commands attention, and Estates Romeo the Magnificent lives up to every word of his name! With striking true black fleece, commanding phenotype and 2x Reserve Black Champion honors, Romeo has proven he's far more than a handsome face. This exceptional son of 6x Champion Patagonia Estates Sakima and champion-producing Estates Magnificent Obsession is a full brother to 5x Champion Estates Zorro the Magnificent and Reserve Champion Estates Obsession. With banners of his own and a family overflowing with black champions, Romeo carries forward a remarkable legacy of true black excellence!
Romeo presents a beautiful head, broad chest, correct bite and excellent conformation. His bright, dense true black fleece offers a wonderfully soft handle, good staple length, consistent crimp and attractive coverage extending to his belly. At the 2026 Golden West Alpaca Expo, he earned Reserve Black Male Champion under Judge Amanda VandenBosch, following a 1st-place finish. He also won Reserve Black Male Champion at the 2025 Gold Country Gathering under Judge Diana Timmerman.
At the 2026 Wild West Alpaca Show, Judge Wade Gease awarded Romeo 1st Place and praised how naturally he stands, particularly the alignment of his neck to topline, his strong, straight legs and smooth movement. Gease also noted Romeo's slight advantage in micron uniformity over his classmate. Romeo's blue ribbons extend to both halter and walking fleece at the 2024 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
His sire, Patagonia Estates Sakima, is a 6x Black Champion and accomplished producer. Sakima's offspring include 12x Champion Estates Sakima's Braxton, 4x Champion Estates Barcelona Beauty and Estates Wind Beneath My Wings, the 2025 AOA National Dark Supreme Champion. Through Sakima, Romeo carries the influential genetics of Patagonia's Lennox and Snowmass Andean Midnight.
Romeo's dam, Estates Magnificent Obsession, has an impressive history of producing competitive true black offspring. His full brother Estates Zorro the Magnificent earned five championship banners, while another full brother, Estates Obsession, won Reserve Champion and 1st Place at the 2021 CABA Classic. Magnificent Obsession is by 3x Black Champion Patagonia's Baccus, a son of Patagonia's Ernesto. Her maternal line includes legendary 2x Judge's Choice, 17x Champion Aussie .38 Special.
With two Reserve Black Championships, multiple blue ribbons and a judge's praise for his structure, movement and fleece uniformity, Romeo has established an impressive record of his own. His striking true black phenotype, sound conformation and accomplished full brothers make him a noteworthy young herdsire prospect.
