Estates Silver Katia is a beautiful, proven medium silver grey female combining dense, bright, wonderfully soft fleece with excellent conformation and an impressive pedigree of celebrated black and grey champions. Her straight legs, broad chest and correct bite complement her attractive phenotype. In August 2026, Katia delivered a handsome medium silver grey male by Judge's Choice, 15x Champion Estates Ameretto's Royal Knight, and she was bred back to Royal Knight in October 2026, with another cria anticipated in 2027.
Katia earned 2nd Place at the 2024 CABA Classic in a competitive class of nine silver grey yearling females. Judge David Barboza also awarded her 2nd Place in Walking Fleece at the 2024 TXOLAN Sweetheart Spectacular, in a class of seven, where the 1st Place entry went on to earn Reserve Champion. Her 2024 EPDs placed two fleece traits in the Top 25%, with six traits in the Top 28%, further complementing her appealing fleece qualities.
Her sire, Rockstar's Steely Dan, is a multiple blue-ribbon winner celebrated for remarkable fineness, silky-soft handle, brightness and fleece uniformity. He earned 1st Place at the 2016 Futurity and 2017 Great Western Alpaca Show. Steely Dan is a son of Neversummer's US Steel, a three-time Futurity Herdsire of the Year, and a grandson of legendary 17x Champion, 2x Judge's Choice Aussie .38 Special. These accomplished ancestors have helped shape generations of highly regarded grey alpacas.
Katia's dam, 3DS' Midnight Katia, is a true black female with an outstanding Snowmass pedigree. She earned Reserve Black Color Champion and 1st Place at the 2013 Northwest Alpaca Showcase, along with 2nd Place at the 2014 CABA Classic. Her sire, Snowmass Matrix Midnight, won a Futurity Color Championship and carries the influence of Snowmass Matrix and Snowmass Quechua. The maternal family also includes Snowmass Nova, bringing additional distinguished black genetics to Katia's pedigree.
Katia's August 2026 son is sired by Estates Ameretto's Royal Knight, a Judge's Choice, 15x Champion with victories at the Futurity, Alpaca Western Extravaganza, Golden West Alpaca Expo and California Classic. Judges have praised Royal Knight's brightness, well-defined crimp, strong conformation and balanced phenotype. His sire is Amber Autumn Ameretto, and his dam, 2x Champion Andina Rayanne, also produced 2x Judge's Choice, 5x Champion Amber Autumn Royal Ruby.
Katia was bred back to Royal Knight in October 2026, with a cria anticipated in September 2027. Her proven production of a medium silver grey male, accomplished show record, attractive fleece and outstanding heritage unite the strengths of the US Steel, Aussie .38 Special and Snowmass bloodlines with Royal Knight's championship-winning genetics.
